We are pleased to share with you the website for the Friends of Fort Vancouver National Historic Site. It has been a pleasure working with Mary Rose, Executive Director of the organization, on this project.
New design
The Friends of Fort Vancouver National Historic Site (FOFV) wanted to update the design of their website, and improved the overall experience for website visitors. The new site is responsive so it works well on mobile devices and all of the major browsers. We packed this website with a new color scheme, big imagery, and tons of details that will make using the website fun for website visitors.
New logo
We created a new logo for them too!
We worked with the Friends organization to create a new logo that will help represent the organization for years to come. You can take the logo home with you in the form of a pin if you stop by the Bookstore & Gallery.
New features
We helped the Friends add several new features:
- Podcasts
- Blog with categories and tags to help website visitors find information
- Event RSVP and ticket sales
- Online shop to enhance Bookstore & Gallery sales outside our county
Explore the site
Keeping the history of Fort Vancouver alive is something the Friends organization is passionate about. We used the blog to create a special home on the website for their podcasts. The blog is easy to use, and offers flexibility of layout without needing to know how to code.
The Friends organization wanted to be able to offer the unique gifts and art available in their Bookstore and Gallery to people online. We helped them do that with an online shop that makes adding and managing products, customer communication, and shipping easy with minimal training.
We love the timeline display for events on this site. Friends of Fort Vancouver National Historic Site sponsors, promotes, and hosts many events throughout the year. Events include the Sweetheart Dance, workshops, Lantern Tours, artist and author visits, and much more.
The Friends organization needed a way to manage memberships. We added a payment solution with features that will make it easier to manage memberships. One of our favorite features is the automatic email notification reminding members when their membership is close to needing renewal.
